On Saturday, The U13A football team headed to Hampton to play their national cup semi-final. The game started with Hampton kicking off, but Dulwich pressed immediately and won the ball off the Hampton defence. Twelve seconds into the game after winning the ball the Dulwich striker chipped the keeper to put Dulwich one-nil up. As the game settled down, Dulwich continued to pass the ball around looking to break down the Hampton backline again. Halfway through the first half from a corner, the ball was headed home to make the score two-nil at half time. In the second half, Hampton pushed to get back into the game but the Dulwich defence stood firm. The group worked together to deal with everything Hampton threw at them and deserved the two-nil victory as the final whistle blew.

Well done to the team who have worked extremely hard since September to achieve this and they fully deserve every bit of credit for the achievement of reaching the ISFA national final and the first ISFA final in the College’s history.

The final will be played on Thursday 17 March at Burton Albion FC at 12.45pm versus Manchester Grammar. Tickets for the final are available from the ISFA website (www.isfa.org.uk).
