Dulwich College U14C vs  Epsom College
On: Saturday, 15 May 2021
Venue: at Home

The U14C squad saw out a dramatic and tense final over narrowly holding on for a 3 run win over their counterparts from Epsom in wet conditions at the Trevor Bailey Sports Ground.

Epsom won the toss and chose to field first, with Maxwell-Scott and Perrin opening the batting for Dulwich. Maxwell-Scott saw off the opening bowlers and finished with a creditable 14. Smart running from the rest of the Dulwich batters making the most of some wayward bowling and fielding, together with a quick fire 16 from Murphy, saw Dulwich to 117-7 off their 20 overs.

Dulwich made a strong start to their bowling with control and accuracy from Coulsen, Murphy, Doepel and Rossell restricting the visitors to 51-4. Epsom captain Patel came in and led the fight back with an excellent 27. Needing 11 from the final over, a boundary and a single left 6 runs needed from the final ball. Smart fielding stopped a boundary and Epsom could only run 2, leaving Dulwich to take the spoils this week. Credit to both teams for their effort and enthusiasm and playing the game in great spirit.
