Dulwich College U12E vs  King's College School (KCS), Wimbledon
On: Saturday, 26 Jan 2019
Venue: Away

In less than ideal conditions, DC U12E's battled hard for a 3-1 victory away at King's College School, Wimbledon.

On a pitch that might have been better suited for seven-a-side, both teams struggled mightily for cohesion, as the game quickly turned into a midfield battle. Dulwich landed the crucial first blow, however, thanks to a fine finish from Alexander Craig, after he bursted through the KCS defence. After some staunch defending, DC would head into halftime a goal to the good.

With their opposition pressing for an equalizer, Dulwich grabbed an opportunistic second goal through Rafael Boyer's strike. And though KCS would soon respond with a goal of their own, Michael Ijeh quickly put the game to bed, turning on the afterburners before smashing home to restore DC's two-goal advantage.

The 3-1 win was a fair reflection of DC's effort and ambition. In their next game against Highgate, they'll look forward to a less scrappy affair, though hopefully a similarly positive result!
