Match Report
Dulwich College 5th XI vs  City of London School
On: Wednesday, 23 Jan 2019
Venue: at Home

Having notched their first win of the season on the previous Saturday against St John's, Leatherhead, DC entered their first home fixture of the season, against City of London School, full of confidence and ambitious to start a winning streak.

For most of the first half, it looked like a combination of bad luck and poor finishing would halt Dulwich's run; however, after CoL came close with a free-kick tipped on to the post and gratefully recovered by Henry Hood, striker Kam Nimoh's clinical finish put the home team a goal to the good heading into half-time.

Dulwich looked to put the game away early on the other side of the break. Lucas Pattinson added a second goal within minutes, swiftly followed by another tidy Nimoh strike, giving DC a 3-0 cushion. CoL would not go down without a fight though, absorbing DC's continued pressure and finally breaking through for a goal of their own with five minutes remaining.

The 3-1 scoreline at the final whistle was a fair reflection of the afternoon's action. Well done to all involved for their efforts, and a particular thank you to Mr Brown for refereeing. DC will look to make it three wins in eight days in an away fixture against King's College School this Saturday.
