Match Report
Dulwich College U14 vs  City of London School
On: Wednesday, 17 Oct 2018
Venue: at Home

A spirited effort from Dulwich U14s forced City of London to dig deep before the away side eventually pulled away for victory.

In their first home fixture of the season, Dulwich enjoyed a fine start, playing stout defense and scoring numerous fast-break points as their opponents took their time finding their rhythm. In fact, only a desperation three-pointer made up the difference at the intermission, with CoL ahead 20-23.

In the second half, however, CoL turned up the intensity, plundering the offensive boards to secure second- and third-chance opportunities, and taking full advantage of some tired DC passing. In the end, Dulwich could not sustain their first half effort, and slipped away as turnovers and fine CoL shooting sapped their confidence.

Plenty of positives should be taken though, as Dulwich proved they can play with the best for stretches. With more valuable experience gained, it won't be long until DC notch their first victory of the season.

MVP: Matthew Vincequerra
