Dulwich College U15A vs  St John's School, Leatherhead
On: Saturday, 19 Jan 2019
Venue: at Home

St John’s, Leatherhead

2-1 (Anderson, McGuiness-Smith)

A very pleasing performance and a step forward from the previous week.

The first half was the better of the two and greater intensity in the midfield and a calmer approach with the ball enabled us to create several chances. The St John’s goalkeeper had a fantastic game and made some excellent saves. However, after a period of pressure, the first goal came from a corner; the ball making its way to Anderson at the far post, who finished clinically. The second goal followed shortly - a fantastic free kick from Aldous was well saved but followed in by McGuinness-Smith. We adjusted the shape in the second half and although didn’t build on the lead, we created some good opportunities. St John’s scored late on, directly from a corner although Dulwich deserved the win.

On to next week and another hard weeks work on the training pitch. Well done boys!
