Match Report
Dulwich College U14A vs  Hampton School
On: Saturday, 12 Jan 2019
Venue: at Home

The U14A team kicked off the season in fine fashion, winning by two goals to one against a good Hampton team. Having not had a full Games lesson to prepare and going up against a team that had played a term of football already was a tough start to the season. The rustiness in DC''s opening play highlighted this. Howevy, as the first half progressed Dulwich played with much more fluency and created some excellent chances. A goal finally came from a corner after some relentless pressure on the Hampton defence. Just before half time Hampton pulled a goal back through a penalty. The second half saw much more pressure being exerted by Hampton. Dulwich defended well and started to play much better on the counterattack. The second goal again came from a corner, won after concerted pressure in the Hampton half. Towards the latter stages Hampton fought hard to get an equaliser, but were unable to find the back of the net. An excellent start from the U14A team and an excellent position from which to start the season.
