Match Report
Dulwich College 4th XI vs  Hampton School Boys-U16A
On: Saturday, 12 Jan 2019
Venue: Away

The 4th XI started their season in great style this weekend against Hampton. The boys started the game positively, successfully maintaining possession for length periods and highlighting their ability to move the ball in to dangerous areas on the pitch

The first half was extremely well contested throughout, with neither team able to break the deadlock despite some promising opportunities.

Dulwich took the lead early in the second half, following a tidy finish from Nick Richard Castro, who found himself on the end of a well placed cross from Harry Fisher.

Hampton played themselves in to the game and following a smart build up we’re awarded a penalty owing to a clumsy tackle in the box. Hampton’s front man took the opportunity and buried the penalty in the bottom right corner to bring the scores level.

Both teams continued to search for the decisive goal and despite Dulwich’s best efforts, they could not keep Hampton at bay and conceded a second goal late in the match.

The 4th XI displayed some extremely positive football against a very strong side and have certainly set a marker down for what promises to be a thoroughly enjoyable season. Well done to all who were involved.
