The U15’s, led by Rob Wood and Jordan Annett, competed for the first time in the Langley School National U15 Festival. On day 1, victory against Abingdon and a loss versus Merchiston Castle saw the team qualify for the Plate competition on the Sunday. Hard fought victories against Campion and then Brighton (overturning defeat from earlier in the season) saw the team take the Plate title. A fantastic achievement, and just reward, for a team which has struggled for success and confidence but continued to apply themselves commendably. The progress made at the tournament will hopefully stand them in good stead for the coming half term.

The 1st XV performed exceptionally well at the St Jo’s tournament and topped their group on Saturday evening after fine victories over QEGS Wakefield, Seaford College and Hurstpierpoint. Following wins over St Jo’s and then Brighton on the Sunday morning, a semi-final was setup against Millfield. Unfortunately with injuries and fatigue beginning to take their toll, Millfield took an early 12-0 lead, from which we could never recover despite a valiant effort. We can extremely proud of the effort and character the boys displayed across the weekend, and the way in which they represented the College and themselves.
